Motivational Interviewing Services
Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a person-centered, goal-oriented method of communication designed to enhance a person’s motivation to change. It is a way of engaging in conversation with kindness and curiosity to help the other person develop clarity, confidence, and commitment to a healthy decision.
By using empathy, active listening, partnership, and a non-judgmental stance, MI helps individuals explore and resolve their ambivalence toward change while enabling them to take ownership of their decisions.
