Sam brings expertise in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to APPRECOTS, with a primary focus on supporting children and youth diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. In her role of Behavioral Specialist Research Associate, Sam leads and contributes to ABA peer-review processes, helping ensure services meet medical necessity criteria while upholding high-quality, ethical, and evidence-based standards of care. She also provides training, coaching, and consultation on behavioral principles and solutions to plan writers, plan implementers, support coordinators, and supervisors.
Sam earned her Master of Science in Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis from Purdue University Global. She is known for her ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels—from direct-care staff to executive leadership—and for developing innovative solutions to evaluate assessments and care plans in ways that align clinical excellence with utilization management requirements. Committed to ongoing learning and rigorous literature review, Sam strives to advance best practices in behavioral health services. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, running, and playing with her dog, Harper.
